First off before going into the political situation I just wanted to stress how great it was to be reminded how easy it is to fall in love with Caracas, and how amazing the Venezuelan people are. Someone I'd met briefly 7 years ago, would greet me again as if we were family.

At the very moment Israel bombed the al-Ahli hospital killing some 800 Palestinians, I was appearing on Indian outlet @WIONews. The producer had told me it would be a one-on-one interview. Instead, as I called for a ceasefire and negotiations to return hostages, I was ambushed with concern trolling about "sensitivity and "decorum" followed by a series of lies taken directly from Israel's propaganda playbook and faithfully recited by both the anchor and correspondent @susanmtehrani. I pushed back against the shameless deceptions until my mic was cut off.
