I told my parents work has been hard lately. They texted back a childhood photo of me and just two words.
Seeing the pic reminded me of my childhood, where I moved around quite a bit and dealt with a lot of racism when my family came to America. It was hard to make friends. but I had DBZ. I had Pokemon. I had Yu-Gi-Oh. Those worlds and games gave me somewhere to belong when I felt like I didn't belong anywhere.
Now I'm building the thing I wish existed when I was that kid. An anime world with characters and cards and stories that people can play with, collect, and share with each other. And through that connection, be able to find a community. That's what Azuki is to me.
Sure, we used NFT technology to create PFPs. That's our origin story that I'll always stand behind. And I'm fully aware of the negative perceptions that people have of it. But that doesn't change the quality of the physical card game that the team has poured our all into, the stories that we create, or the passion that people in the community have. We all sit down at a table to play a game of Azuki TCG just like every other player and game.
Some days are harder than others. But I look at this photo and I know that kid would be proud of where I am today.
Oh and the two words from my parents (in traditional asian parent fashion), were simply: "Be strong." 😂

Azuki started with art. The Azuki TCG continues that. Characters that began as PFPs are coming to life through the cards, and the gameplay pulls you deeper into the lore and world. Set 1 is going into production and it's all becoming very real.
Manga adds the storytelling layer and emotional connection with fans. The story will develop at the pace fans actually want.
And on the tech side, we're doing R&D on PBT. Imagine tapping a physical card with your phone to verify it's authentic (& much more). It's a longer term play, but there are real problems in collectibles that only technology can solve.
Every day that passes, I get more bullish on this strategy. Core to Azuki has always been three things: art, storytelling, and technology. Now we get to go deeper on all three with way more focus.
TCG → manga → anime. The path is clear.

Today marks the 4 year anniversary of Azuki!
From launching an anime inspired PFP collection in a small apartment in LA, to growing that seedling into something much bigger, it’s been an incredible journey. This year, I’m excited for the Azuki IP to continue expanding through story, games, and experiences.
What matters most now is leaning into the foundation we’ve built and compounding our momentum: shipping products people love and steadily growing the reach of the Azuki world that we’ve brought to life alongside the community.
Seeing Azuki experienced by new audiences even just yesterday at the TCG Invitational was incredibly meaningful to me.
Four years in. Still building. Still evolving. Still here.

Happy 4th Anniversary @Azuki ⛩️
Vibes were high this weekend, went to two shops and there was peeps playing @AzukiTCG / Alpha boxes in place. @g3nkitcg and @RWTCollective .
The current local community has been having fun with Azuki TCG and we can see the excitement around the players and spectators asking more about Azuki. There was interest in the IP and excitement on the gameplay.
It was great meeting everyone old and new - gave out some gifts to non Garden members but I see them playing with us in discord and connecting / meeting in person. Met @RaffyTCG // @merchtcg at RWT also.

Great event experience at Azuki HQ by @JCM1117 and the crew. Everyone and the locals were friendly and vibes were immaculate as the OG community and Garden folks mingled with the local TCG players. The place was jam packed and everyone was buzzing about BJMC cards // @pekrys 's Pekiro (Was one of the most played card in the tourney) The recognition is sparking on holding licensed IP assets and it's something that's came from a long way.
We were also testing the App by @Azuki that worked really well (Can see the vision with flex / locals / online tourney usage) Will post the image / deck I played under

As the last Alpha boxes launch soon - Set 1 will be dropping around end of Q2 with the biggest TCG distributor in NA + Nationals aiming as the big incentive to keep the momentum going around EoY.
The future is bright and I can feel that spark again this weekend. Hopefully the waves ripple thru the nation as they expand towards New York.
The manga everyone can enjoy is also coming (With holder's being licensed again) The community and assets being involved as Azuki continues their journey forward being a decentralized brand.
Azuki will also make an appearance at Paris Fashion Week to show the quality and top tier product of what they keep executing.
AnimeCom is also making waves with higher and higher monthly DAU plus continuous features being shipped.
Azuki Studio locked in a big anime for revenue and making it in the works with @febtea. Can't wait to see that logo being flashed at the start of the film!
The company is strong and have many years of runway to keep proliferating the IP and bring the community along growing hand in hand.

Wanted to post this on anniversary (Am late to something - been a tight schedule weekend and Monday but I hope you get a gist of the event and my experience. The potential for Azuki this year is tall!)
