I've been thinking about this a lot today. I've been playing trading card games for over 30 years. It started on the elementary school blacktop, sitting on the pavement with friends, making up half the rules as we went. Then it became Friday nights at the local game store, road trips for tournaments, and eventually competing at the highest level. TCGs have been one of the few constants throughout my life. So seeing @AzukiTCG officially launch today is honestly surreal. Just over a year ago, this game didn't exist. Today, somewhere, there's a kid opening their very first Azuki booster pack. A group of friends is sitting around a table learning the game together. Someone is walking into their first local tournament. Years from now, those might end up being the stories they still tell. That's the part that gets me. I know exactly what those moments feel like because I lived them. Some of my favorite memories, closest friendships, and biggest life lessons came from sitting across a table playing a card game. It's wild to think a whole new generation of players gets to start building those same kinds of memories today. I've spent most of my life experiencing those moments as a player. Getting to watch a brand new community begin that same journey is something I'll never take for granted. I'm incredibly proud of everyone who's poured their heart into bringing this game to life. Thank you to @JCM1117, @_Tomugi, @Zagabond, and everyone else who's helped make today possible. And to the community that's embraced it, every local game store opening its doors, and every player who's decided to crack a pack, learn the rules, and be part of something new. Thank you. Today feels like the beginning of something really special. IKZ⛩️

after 2 weeks back playing tcgs, we got 7th place tonight at locals! (best performance so far) it’s been so much fun sweating it out against mfs that have been maining ts for years will get 1st soon, give it a month

Every TCG needs a strong player base to succeed and building one is Azuki TCG's top focus. But I agree that people can also collect cards simply because they love the artwork. This is a good example of why Azuki TCG already has such a strong collector base. It didn’t appear overnight. Azuki began as a digital art collection. For more than four years, the community has commissioned over $1 million in original art from artists around the world and followed these characters through animation, social shorts, and years of storytelling. This all happened long before we even had a booster pack Now the TCG gives that collector culture a physical form. We’re fortunate to start with that foundation. And now we're focused on making a great game + supporting organized play. The collector interest didn’t suddenly appear, as it's been part of the Azuki culture since day 1.
