As a Singaporean, I disagree.
Singapore may be the most developed country in SouthEast Asia... But we are still a SouthEast Asian country.
We are not special just because we achieved a lot of things. We should not ask for privileges from other regions or distance ourselves from our neighbours.
If people do not want to interact with the whole of SEA, so be it. We cannot take the SEA out of us, so we should be proud of it.
At least we are not in South Asia LOL
