This video gets more stupid the more you think about it, so let's break it down: The English channel tunnel is 31 miles long. It took 6 years of digging to build it. That means this 3400 mile tunnel would take 660 years to build. And that's assuming it's even theoretically possible. In reality the English channel is reasonably shallow, where as the Atlantic ocean varies in depth like the Himalayan mountain range. Furthermore, in order for travel times to be cut down to an hour, the train would have to be faster than the fastest airplane ever built, the SR-71 Blackbird. Suffice it to say, this is never going to happen.
