Dios mío. Acaban de arreglar uno de los bugs MÁS ANTIGUOS de Minecraft. El famoso MC-4 existía desde 2012 y hacía que, cuando un ítem quedaba en el borde de un bloque, pareciera caerse visualmente aunque en realidad siguiera arriba. Será arreglado en una próxima update.

My CurseForge profile currently 404s. I have not been banned or hacked, looks like my total downloads passed the max signed int value, which is breaking the page. CF is aware and looking into it.

A lot of doom and gloom on this post from people that really dislike Essential Mod / Spark Universe What I'll say is: Modrinth hasn't given the community any reason to not trust them up until this point and as long as they stay to their word, there's nothing to worry about

@MykraPercent @IrisShaders While they're best known for their P2P multiplayer, Essential brings to Java what Bedrock was made for - the marketplace, virtual currency and microtransactions - at the cost of user convenience. Not a fan of the mod's monetization methods either tbh

@IrisShaders From a user perspective I think there's little to worry about. Ultimately, it's one of those changes where the best we can do is wait and see where they lead in the long term.

Not to mention the Modrinth team has by far actively listened to user feedback, so I think there's no need to worry about the platform's "entshittification". Especially considering how actively users like to give their opinion, no I wouldn't be worried 😄.

I think the team did what they believe is best for the platform in the long term, and making hasty conclusions now would only waste that effort.

I'm interested to see how this goes in the long run. Surely, it might not be the most popular decision right now, but I can imagine it wasn't a light one to make either. 🧵
