@robbyrussell Take a look at @supernotesapp. It has made a world of difference to organizing my thoughts and notes for both my personal and professional life.

At the end of 2024 I ditched Evernote and went all-in on Obsidian. A year later… the verdict is painful. It wasn’t “free.” It’s clunky and demands way more discipline than I’m willing to pretend I have. I’m not going back to Evernote, but Obsidian hasn’t clicked either. As we roll into a new year, I’m open to trying something else. What tools are working for you… especially the ones that don’t require a tidy folder librarian living in your head? Drop your recs.

Hi Joe 👋 The reason we recommend App Image Launcher is mostly so it installs the deeplinks correctly into your Linux OS so you can authenticate via a browser. Our community has been recommending Gear Lever recently instead. You only have to use these tools once for the initial install and Supernotes from then on will auto update. community.supernotes.app/t/gear-lever-v…

@supernotesapp Thanks for making a Linux app image However to run your app image only if I have a specific launcher installed defeats the whole purpose of making it portable. Is there a way to bypass this? I launch app images with rofi and don't want another launcher

@PhuTran0301 @Sightglass All our notecards are flashcard compatible from the get go – by default we will use a card's title as the front side, with the body content as the rear side. And yes, all the API endpoints will be available for you to create and modify flashcard FSRS data.
