🚨 THIS WAS EXACTLY THE MATURITY ISSUES I TRIED TO WARN Y’ALL ABOUT‼️ This was one of the main reasons when I spoke about McCarthy post 25 szn, I really had to tell ppl the hard truth about him being years behind; I wanted him ready as much as anyone! I simultaneously realized JJ could possibly be bad for the locker room, divide the fan base, & throw us off championship our course if he wants via the media. The thing that’s gonna keep the Vikings from reaching a Super Bowl, is dividing us against each other; always been the problem! We are all never one cohesive unit, fully believing the same thing, working together, along w no funny business behind the scenes. In 2026 Vikings have a chance to have that, & it starts with backing Kyler Murray as QB1. JJ McCarthy’s competition is just to stay a Viking QB, my goodness not to earn the starting role! DO WE NOT HAVE A CHAMPIONSHIP STANDARD HERE⁉️ Let me ask you this, could JJ McCarthy start for the Eagles? “AIN’T NO WAY!” Why do we not have them same standards? “This is what Jonathan Greenard was talking about!” To play QB for the Vikings there must be a standard, & that standard has to be a championship caliber play; ALWAYS! Right now there ain’t, basically it’s whoever’s got the coolest aura…😭 Then we wonder why we have never won a SB, seriously seems pretty obvious 🤦‍♂️. Always waiting for some QB to grow, & the weak expectations of QB1 to only need just play a supporting role in the team; NAW!!! QB NEEDS TO BE ELITE, it is the most important position in football; so he needs to be the best! let’s stop accepting mediocre players, letting mediocre gameplay be the standard. Right now we have a former 1st overall pick, who has only played for a singular dysfunctional cardinal team; I like those odds. JJ’s path to the top is through hard work, & not seeing teammates through the lens of a stranger he needs to eliminate; remember teammates.🤝 it’s one thing to have a healthy competition, it’s another to be fighting the system trying to come out on top even if it’s at the expense of a fellow Viking player (JJ on Kyler) seems to be trying to manipulate it the media, & a guy can’t grow that way; McCarthy needs to focus inward. Something he has yet to show me since his first face w adversity in 2025, but that’s to be expected. JJ’s whole life he has always been the top dog, never even experienced loss. I’m sure there’s a lot of getting used to, but he needs to buy into the team/system. Not see this like some petty high school competition, maybe learn a new attribute (how to be a good teammate/play a support role) at least for now; could open up a whole new world. At the end of the day I am a Minnesota Vikings fan 1st, & want set the standard of being a place for WINNERS! It’s very clear who the starting QB should be, & everybody should be on board to support Kyler. Actually believe in Murray to bring the Vikings a Super Bowl, not just 🤔 szn will be meaningless “same old Vikings”. That’s the culture we worked so hard to get rid of; pessimistic mediocrity! So I’m not just gonna sit around idle watching the new culture get tore down we all worked so hard to build, just cause it didn’t work out the way we planned; that’s life. #SKOL
