I'm a #bced teacher. We've been teaching in person since June 2020 with few closures, and we've seen very little school-driven COVID transmission. Having schools open means that my students are happy, safe, and actually learning. #OntEd kids deserve the same.

@theRealJSiD @SharkawyMD What about the families the kids have to go back to; parents and grandparents who are immunocompromised. They can still get infected by the kids. Please allow your mind to go a little bit further of what you hear.

I can't explain to parents how a room full of 25+ partially/unvaxxed kids eating snacks/lunch will avoid spreading #COVID19 to the entire class. And at the same time. Can you? #OmicronBuffet #COVIDisAirborne

@trudat2020 @rickjtobin @SharkawyMD You do realize that there are many diseases (including the flu) that are much worse for children. We can’t have a myopic focus on just Covid.

Beyond that, the death of even 1 child is enough of a tragedy. We're only talking about GTA children's deaths, by the way. Not that they matter to you.

COVID didn't do this; We did 1/4 1. No data supported day care workers wearing cloth masks w infants all day 2. Masking kids 2-4 was contradicted by WHO, but American Peds Assc. did it anyway 3. Keeping kids without playdates had no data 4. We closed playgrounds!

Yep, this is the video that Pfizer filed a copyright claim to have taken down so it wouldn’t get shared widely, in which CEO Albert Bourla says “Two doses of the vaccine offers very limited protection, if any.” It would be a real shame if this got shared all over social media.

The answer to “masks off at lunch in schools” may be to redefine lunch. Perhaps a bunch of outdoor snacks and QUICK breaks in the class throughout the day. If restaurants can’t be open to vaccinated adults, why is indoor dining by unvaccinated students okay? h/t @carahB1
