I genuinely wonder how this pans out. It's still winter, people are still congregating indoors, BA.2 is around...however there is very high vaccine coverage. Curious how northern hemisphere countries navigate their winter/spring & see the outcome of different policy decisions.

@theRealJSiD @SharkawyMD You are aware though that youth under 18 who contract C19 are 250% more likely to get diabetes right? Sure the short term effects are pretty minor but do you want to risk the long-term effects we are learning about as new studies emerge?

@DataDrivenMD @ProMovement1 Everyone at my family Christmas gathering was vaccinated & tested negative 0-2 days before. 48 hours later, I was symptomatic & tested positive. I had no direct interaction with any other people in that time. Relaxing standards now can only cause more cases.

When a school has 19 infected students in a population of 290, you either: i) deploy rapid testing or ii) close the school down. When you fail to do so, you can no longer claim to care about safe schools and the health of our students.
