This is what we call fooling people!! Do you know: -There is no religion barrier for getting ST reservation? -In Northeast states, >90% ST population is Christian -In J&K, the entire ST1 reservation is for Gujjar & Bakarwal communities-both are muslims -As per 2011 census, India has 1 crore Christian STs & 18.6 lakh muslim STs -The ST status is focused on community identity, and not religion All this is documented under Central ST list, Ministry of Tribal affairs website and even census data. I wonder, instead of questioning the Constitution and rules which allow this since decades, the minister is trying to showcase it as a "New problem"!!
