Indian architects are quietly setting the pace for what architecture should truly be. Deep overhangs, lush greenery woven into living spaces, courtyards that breathe, large openings for light and cross ventilation, materials that age beautifully. Homes designed for living!

Responses here prove Indians still fail to accept the truth that they are their own worst enemy.

In short: India is economically retarded. And this really isn't news. When it comes to people count they should've overtaken China long ago, but their culture forbids it. That is also why many intelligent and hard working Indians go abroad. In my industry this is incredibly visible in everyday work life. Indians outside India are often some of the friendliest and best people to work with. Indian teams in India though often feel like a den of hens with their heads chopped off. It's truly incredibly what a broken cultural environment can do to a civilization.
TESLARATI@Teslarati

Tesla has reportedly scrapped plans for a vehicle production factory in India. India’s Minister of Heavy Industries, K. N. Balagopa, stated that Tesla has decided against building a manufacturing plant in India. Tesla’s decision weighed several factors, including major shortcomings in the country’s local supply chain and industrial base, a stalemate in talks with the government over the sequencing of tariff cuts versus factory construction, insufficient infrastructure, the limited purchasing power of Indian consumers relative to Tesla’s premium vehicles, and broader uncertainties stemming from policy and regulatory risks in the Indian business environment.

The hate on Chennai by those outside of the 4 southern states has nothing to do with Chennai being “dehat” or anything to do with Chennai itself. It’s poorly veiled frustration at their language privilege not working in Tamil Nadu.

India's Gen Z is the most educated and aware.. you’re an idiot if you think the Nepal or Bangladesh style model will succeed here just because of opposition leaders’ fake social media narratives.. never ever think of that.

@heyyytansh Semiconductors? They are working on it, that industry doesn't build overnight, which is why their Netherlands visit was specifically for that. But people here talk about why the PM visits other countries

one of the reasons i think fdi is moving away from india is that the government has paid little to no attention to sectors like ai, semiconductors, and rare earth minerals. these were supposed to drive indias growth this decade, but we are too far behind in the global race.

First provide 24x7 electricity supply to both urban and rural India, then only govt should say they met peak demand. Because if you are not giving proper supply, then obviously you will always meet demand.
Ministry of Power@MinOfPower

Today, at 1545 hours, peak power demand (solar hours) of 265.44 GW was successfully met. This represents a new high in peak demand met, surpassing yesterday's peak demand (solar hours) of 260.45 GW which was also successfully met.

@Nagaland_India When did Bombay become South? That city is mostly filled with Gujaratis and North Indians. It's a migrant-dominated city, just like Delhi

Hindu nationalism has surpassed its peak. Whatever recent electoral victories it has achieved are largely due to the freebie gravy train, which is unsustainable as it is cannibalizing economy. What is unfortunate is that this was a generational fumble & a lost opportunity, with no substantial pro Hindu & pro economic growth structural changes. Whatever limited changes they managed to bring are easily reversible. The left is far more radical now & whenever they come to power, that day will mark the end of the future of UCs in this country.
