My teammate pointed this out to me just now. “Something’s never change”. So far in Riftbound I played MF all of set 1, then played Draven for set 2 until a couple weeks go. And now that Zed’s been announced I’ve already said that will be my competitive break since I just want to play zed. 5 years ago I won a major where all 3 of these were their own deck in my lineup 😂 god bless @PlayRuneterra and @riftboundop

@MreMOEtional I thought everyone had the same opinion as you, myself included. Then I came across a post saying that Riot forces you to play bad decks in order to be +ev. That's crazy.

I understand I’m in the minority here but like, there isn’t a consideration for me to bring a metal card or “ev hunt” at a major. I just want to win so I’ll play a deck that I think can win. If it happens to win a metal card or is possible to win a metal card, that’s just a bonus. Riot isn’t “forcing” pros to decide between ev hunting or trying to win. Playing in the main event of any card game major has always been bad ev when comparing it to doing things like playing side events, or just working for a weekend. Like idk why people are acting like they compete in card games for EV. I thought top players compete in card games because of their competitive drive to be the best and win.
