@stevco78 Just to re-iterate, i made this post after rewatching some of my own casting lmao I wasn’t happy with what I heard, I hold myself to higher standards so you can expect it to get better in time. But I appreciate the kind words, really!

I always had this opinion that you can professionaly cast games and be on broadcast without being good at the game you cast. Similar to coaching, you are able to explain the game without playing the game at high level yourself. Thats not my opinion anymore after learning Riftbound. Theres no way you can be competently casting this game without putting thousands of hours into it and you actually need to be good at the game to be able to make it interesting to the viewers. Game is absolutely phenomenal and the flow of it is just so interesting to observe. Players personal playstyle is really shining through decision making in this tcg.

It’s not about actually topping a 2k people event. It’s about the mindset and actually putting in the work to understand the matchups on more than surface level. When rewatching my own vods I realised that in some matches I didn’t explain the match dynamics just because I wasn’t sure about it. That’s because I didn’t put in the effort to play this matchup myself to experience it. Just speaking to other people will not be enough to form your own opinions.

@LotharHS it does not imply that your level has to be very high to the point of being able to top 8 a RQ. There's a gap between knowing and executing.
