@mattyglesias It had nothing to do with bidding. The rules prohibited Knicks from offering a large contract.

The marginal Knicks win is much more economically valuable than the marginal Thunder win, they *should* outbid other teams for players.

It’s crazy that the Knicks weren’t able to resign Hartenstein and he ended up in Oklahoma — too much fairness to small market teams!

criticism (within the realms of the game) is part of the media's job. i understand players don't always like it, but it's the nature of the beast. however, players are free to have public thoughts too and it's just really weird to take offense to that. just my two cents.

@alanhahn I don’t know how a team can’t be ready to play the Hornets. They’ve been the best team in hoops now for a stretch. I didn’t think the Knicks were gonna keep up heading into the game. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Not one NYK player should have been surprised at how bad the Hornets wanted this game. They finally got back their arena. Should have been ready for it. This type of stuff is supposed to get you ready for the playoffs.
