Running ethlambda on devnet-2 this week was incredibly valuable. We identified and fixed multiple issues that surfaced during real network operation 🧵 1/6

P2P improvements: • Active fetching of missing parent blocks • Support for incoming block requests from peers • Automatic re-dialing for disconnected peers These improvements make the node more resilient in real network conditions. 2/6

Added support for Zeam's BlocksByRoot format, improving multi-client interoperability. Essential for catching edge cases early on devnet-2. 3/6

Fixed a critical memory leak by implementing chain and attestation pruning post-finalization. This bounds memory usage during normal operation. 4/6

Debugging these issues allowed us to improve log messages throughout, making future diagnostics easier. These fixes bring us closer to devnet-2 stability. Still monitoring results while preparing for devnet-3. 5/6
