@forloopcodes So many deny it is a bubble because "AI is useful and revolutionary!" Yeah, and so are websites. Websites changed the ENTIRE economy GLOBALLY. And there was STILL a bubble pop because of the gold rush to adopt faster than they could find customers or revenue. Same thing with AI.

There is also a lot debt being taken on and moved around within this bubble and It reminds me way too much of the debt shuffling within the housing market by the banks that causes the previous financial crisis. Its not if, its when at this point really. Investors, as you rightly pointed out are already getting cold feet, so it won't take much to cause panic and a correction to the actual value AI provides.

@forloopcodes OpenAI doesn't need AGI to survive. They just needed to be ahead of the competition with best the models and services. They are no longer the best at anything and have nothing to fall back on.

If I know anything about crony capitalism it’s that the AI companies are racing to make themselves “systemically important” so they are too big to fail, and either they succeed and reap massive reward or daddy gov will come rushing in with a bailout when it’s time for the losses to be socialized
