They took Tiwa Savage to the UK as part of Nigerian delegation but ignored all the numerous talents we have in Northern Nigeria who deserve to have a seat on that table. The constant humiliation of Northeners by the Tinubu administration will be fully repaid in 2027

Not everyone vibrates at a dull frequency. For the vast majority of Yoruba people, Yorubaland is the only Holy Land there is. It is the land where my forebears broke the earth with their hands and the soil answered with abundance. The land where I prosper today, and where my children, by the grace of Olódùmarè, are destined to prosper tomorrow. The only land where my children and I can rise to any height, where every child of the soil may wear the crown. A land so blessed that millions from neighboring nations run to it in search of greener pastures, only to return to their own homelands every December, proudly displaying the prosperity they gathered from Yoruba soil. For us, holiness is not in distant deserts. Holiness is in the land that feeds us, crowns us, and carries the bones of our ancestors. Even those who went to a foreign land just to fulfil the dictates of their doctrine are not oblivious to these facts. No land is holier than Yoruba land for Yoruba people.

I've seen Muslims travel to Mecca, even Christians do travel to Jerusalem. Which holy land do traditional worshippers travel to?

Peter Òbí, it's quite unfortunate that you are not saying anything with the ongoing demolition of Onitsha Market by your own Governor. If the same happens in the southwest, you would have been convulsing, crying all over your page. You are a big hypocrite and an irresponsible leader who panders to the online mob. While your citizens are crying in Onitsha, you deliberately ignored them because it wouldn't suit your usual narrative.

The Lagos Trade Fair Demolition: A Test of Impunity, Justice and Compassion Today, alongside Senators Enyinnaya Abaribe, Victor Umeh, Col. Austin Akobundu, Tony Nwoye, Honourable Members of the House of Representatives, Segun Sowonmi, George Adegeye, Labour Party Lagos State Gubernatorial candidate, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour and coordinator of the Obidient Movement Tanko Yunusa, we visited the site of the demolished ASPAMDA Market at the Trade Fair in Lagos, where plazas were pulled down despite traders having obtained the requisite approvals. I must commend the traders for their remarkable restraint and calm in the face of such painful loss. I equally appreciate the Senators and the House of Representatives members who have pledged to investigate this matter thoroughly and bring to light the circumstances that led to this unfortunate development, and most importantly, ensure that the situation does not occur in the future. Beyond this immediate case, I urge government at all levels to act with compassion, fairness, and a deep sense of justice, especially at this difficult time. Many of the affected traders invested heavily - often through loans - in the hope of securing their livelihoods and contributing to the wider economy. To destroy such legitimate investments without due process is not only unjust but also economically destructive. A society that seeks to make progress must protect enterprise, encourage productivity, and defend the dignity of its citizens. Incidents like this should have no place in a nation that aspires to fairness, stability, and shared prosperity. A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO

I don't know why there is hike in Nigeria despite Dangote's refinery now producing. Honestly, Nigeria shouldn't be affected by shortages or high prices because the country is richly blessed with crude oill. Perhaps Greed.

I don’t know who needs to hear this: Àkàrà is Àkàrà, not beans cake. Mọ́ín-mọ́ín is Mọ́ín-mọ́ín, not bean pudding. Òjòjọ́ is Òjòjọ́, not water yam fritters or water yam cakes. Gbẹ̀gìrì is Gbẹ̀gìrì, not bean purée soup. Ẹ̀bà is Ẹ̀bà, not cassava flour dough. Àmàlà is Àmàlà, not dark yam dough or yam flour swallow. I am of the opinion that changing our Yorùbá food names to English will make them lose their originality.

Growing up in a devout household, I was introduced to the teachings of Islam at a tender age. I attended Arabic school, where my primary focus was on learning the Quran & the Arabic language. However, my experience was marred by a dark reality. Madrasa (ilé kéwú) is a prison, Islam is a cult. Instead of nurturing my understanding and fostering a sense of ‘spirituality’, I was subjected to brutal methods of instruction, including physical beatings, torture, and various forms of abuse. These distressing techniques exposed me to the horrifying and terrifying aspects of the Quran, such as vivid depictions of hellfire and the notion that Allah would condemn me to eternal flames if I failed to worship him. Moreover, I also read that Allah harbored animosity towards non-Muslims. He calls them ‘the worst of the creatures’. [Surah Al-Bayyinah - verse 6] A supposed self-sufficient omnipotent deity wailing that people do not worship him. A small dick energy god!
