@frogsatuea @FishLegal_ I'm coming to it from a different angle in as much as its a good thing to get people involved, it's a good thing to get agencies willing to interact and if (when) volunteered data highlights a problem reach the costly lab samples can be more focused. Data management is the key

EA rely on infrequent spot samples at locations randomly generated by computers. This risks policy & regulatory decisions being made using a paucity of water quality data. Volunteers are filling the gap. Will EA take enforcement action with the results? theguardian.com/environment/20…
