@blagden_david Oh my god! This is incredibly pertinent! Information like this was once “confidential”. However, individuals feel that this is newsworthy or, gossip worthy by those (may be you) who really don’t understand the bigger picture! Yes lots of OPDEFS but let’s not go down that road!

Today the Prime Minister has confirmed he has authorised UK armed forces to take action against Russian shadow fleet vessels to turn the screw on the funding for Putin’s illegal war in Ukraine.
The UK will stand with Ukraine for as long as it takes. 🇬🇧🇺🇦

Royal Fleet Auxiliary seafarers keep our Navy supplied and operational. ⛴️ They deserve fair pay, decent conditions, and certainty about the future. We rely on them, the Government must deliver for them. I’ll keep pushing until they get the support they deserve. @RMTunion

@pegge49 Ah yes, the DIP! More dithering in planning (see what I did there). Absolutely shocking that this has not been presented. I for one am keen to understand what level of investment may happen for my organisation!

And lets not forget this was originally promised to be published in December, as the answer to all the questions the SDR word salad raised...
Note: Yes the previous Government has much to answer for, but in 19 months the current one hasn't ordered a single ship (or dry dock)...

John Healey repeatedly refused to give any guidance as to when the Defence Investment Plan will be published this afternoon, and would not confirm whether or not it CAN be published during purdah - (eg whether it can be published after 26th March and before early May).

I kid you not. Rachel Reeves praises Canada and Norway for INCREASING their production of oil and gas. So while the Labour Party proudly ban new oil and gas production in the UK, they openly support it in other countries. You literally couldn't make it up. This is INSANE!
