@LeahRay44 Dallas and Houston are horrible. Eight lanes, 100 mph, merge from a 200 ft on-ramp into NSCAR traffic and then cross over to exit downtown in 409 yards. It’s insane.

How do people in America drive on the roads? So many lanes, so many intersections it all looks so confusing to me. This is in Dallas and it’s literally scaring me

USA. I went to a BBQ restaurant in Texas. The man next to me asked where I was from. I said I had been to North Carolina. He put down his brisket. He looked at me. He did not blink. I did not understand what I had done. In Japan, we say: a guest brings peace. So I said: “I enjoyed the vinegar pork there.” The table went silent. A child stopped chewing. Someone in the back dropped a fork. I realized then that I had not entered a restaurant. I had entered a conflict that began before I was born. I tried to fix it. I ordered brisket. Good. I said “actually, the smoke is everything.” Better. I nodded slowly at the pit master. He nodded back. Progress. Then the waiter asked if I wanted sauce. I said: “which one is more traditional?” He listed four. Two were from Texas. Two were from the Carolinas. I panicked. I ordered all four. I put them on the table in geographic order. The man next to me paid his bill and left without finishing his brisket. I was asked, very politely, not to return. Is this normal? Can someone explain the correct diplomatic protocol?
