Yes, it is quite the consistent sci-fi trope that nearly immortal beings constantly underestimate a species well aware of its mortality, which makes it prone to finding ingenious and scary ways to maintain that as long as possible. I was reminded in a clip of the scene, where they first agree to arm rebellious Jaffa. The Jaffa are still proud of theor staves until Carter lights up the target with the P90. 🤣

Christianity is the original Progressive faith, the textbook from which Islam, Marxism, and the Woke learned. Tirn all things to what they believe or else. Start as an urban minority, convince powerful narcissists that embracing their universal, one-way thought will secure power- One god, one ruler, and then have said person install them in positions of power to destroy any thought or faction which could stand up to or counter their faction. The belief enforced must be so beaten into followers heads, that even against logic and nature, they'd at first being willing to die then be willing to kill when the power comes. Everything they hate about Sharia and Islam is pure envy, because they remember when they did it in their favor. Cry about a burnt church or one that was sold and made a mosque, but when able, they would and gave destroyed the worship sites of others with no regard.

As is usual and historical, mobotheists absolutely abhor competition, as it means they have to make the sound argument for their faith, whereas, in the past, like the ShaRitards today, they used political, economic, and eben physical force to impose their ways upon people. People converted in the West, because, since Constantine up to the freedoms we have under the Enlightenment ideals of freedom, people didn't have a choice as they'd be shutout of the sicio-economic system for failing to conform. Now that people are free to have their minds and conscious, many are rejecting monotheism and its universality, individual killing ways.

No. Imminent threat happens at the 60% threshold. That is a recent development since 2021, not “decades.” 60% to 90% is faster and much easier to achieve but a weapon in KT range is possible with just 60%. To achieve 60 to 90% is a matter of a few months or even weeks depending on the tech used (possibly one week). Weapons development is rather impossible to verify one way or another, they could feasibly have a bomb built awaiting material in complete secrecy. Assuming they could not or have not is dangerously ignorant, downplaying their tech capabilities. Underestimation is the worst position one can take in conflict. Right now the thinkers say they don’t have a weapon, yet. But there is a degree of uncertainty, and they could be wrong. People who are saying it was an intent threat equally for decades are uninformed and flatly wrong.

I just got off the phone with someone who works in defense policy in Washington. What they told me should end every "Trump is reckless" argument permanently. "Every single president since Clinton received the same intelligence briefing on Iran's nuclear timeline. Every single one was told the window was closing. Every single one chose to kick it down the road because the political cost of acting was higher than the political cost of waiting." Trump got the same briefing. 60kg of 90% enriched uranium. 4 weeks to breakout. Material for 2 bombs. He chose to act knowing it would tank his approval to 35%. He chose to act knowing his own base would split. He chose to act knowing NATO allies would refuse to help. He chose to act knowing gas prices would spike. A senior analyst I know at a major think tank put it this way: "The difference between Trump and every president before him isn't intelligence. They all had the same data. The difference is courage."
