@Rachel57387355 Please let us know any further questions you have and we will answer as best we can. To reassure you, we have know lots of ODPs who were drafted into ICU during pandemic, who worked in the same capacity as an ICU nurse. It really demonstrated how versatile ODPs are!

@Rachel57387355 Hi Rachel. In terms of restrictions, what are you pertaining to? If you are medicines management trained, including IV. You have the same administration rights as an ICU nurse, as along as the prescription have been written for the specific patient. This is called a PSD

There are a few centres that have employed ODPs as ‘technicians’ for years on ICU, it’s a far cry from what ODPs have been during during surge, independently managing L2&3 patients.
