Everything on that list is real, and the anger is earned. The question is what actually changes it. Here's the hard math. At 13% of the population, no group wins alone. Power in this country comes from coalitions, every time. You may not love what coalition with Democrats has delivered, and that frustration is fair. But the people doing the things on your list aren't the Democrats. Walking away from a coalition with Democrats doesn't punish the white nationalists, it just leaves you with less leverage against them.

They crack jokes about George Floyd and laugh in our faces, and we do nothing. They shoot our children in the back and then sentence them as adults for defending themselves and we do nothing. They call Michelle Obama, the first Black First Lady of the United States a Man, and a Monkey and we do nothing. They strip away voting rights in the same southern states where we send our best Black athletes to play college sports to make them BILLIONS, and we do nothing. They openly talk about bringing SLAVERY back, and we do nothing. We are desensitized to our own disrespect.

One wonders if Israel was secretly glad Iran fired missiles at them on Sunday after Israel’s refusal to stop fighting HZ in Lebanon, so that they could strike back against Iran, and in that case, Israel is probably expecting a big counterattack from Iran, possibly on Monday. It appears Israel is doing everything it can to take the decision out of Trump‘s hands about whether to restart the war or not. What still remains very much an open question, however, is whether Trump will play the dupe again, and simply do what Israel tells him to do after enough missiles start flying. The absolute best case for the United States: stay out of it and leave Israel on their own. They chose a war, they can finish it, or they can suffer the consequences. But under no circumstances, should the United States rejoin in this foolish war, which would only deepen our strategic defeat.

Just to be clear: there was no deal. The “deal” had already been put on the shelf. What they were trying to negotiate was an MOU, and even that has been dragged out for weeks. The Iranian regime had no real intention of signing a final agreement, let alone an MOU. Anyone who understands history and understands how this regime operates should know that. So Israel did not “blow up” a deal. Israel did everyone a favor. Enough with the talks. Enough with the delay tactics. Enough pretending Tehran is negotiating in good faith while preparing the next round of attacks. Sometimes, if you want peace, you have to be willing to fight the war first.
