@NekoMMDGTS @_Hazardous_Wolf How about this.
I give you a revolver with one round, you can either try your luck or sit it down and walk away.
In what world would you want to risk your life by pulling the trigger? I know it's missing some details but that's what blue pushers look like to sane people.
English

@NekoMMDGTS @_Hazardous_Wolf Then that's the blue pusher's fault, I won't feel guilty by picking the guaranteed victory button.
And I won't be guilted into gambling my life.
English

@Rozemyne16 @_Hazardous_Wolf That is one problem, but also just increases the stupidity of blue pushers.
You literally gain nothing extra by going blue, just a risk of you and every other blue dying.
There's really no reason not to go red unless you're literally insane.
English

@Avantle @_Hazardous_Wolf To be honest the test isn't fair at all. You should put something to make Red at least somewhat considerable to against. The original test seems had no risk whatsoever to the red side it's kinda dumb
English

@DoNutWhole2025 I personally wish they'd stop getting Apple and fucking Surfaces. We'd get a few tickets a month from the athletics people breaking the screens.
But at the very least I could still fix them (Apple) when they fail or get broken. Now I can't help our Apple users at all.
English

@DoNutWhole2025 We can't charge labor or anything if it's our machines, so clients only pay what they'd pay if they took it straight to Apple.
With Dell warranty work they usually don't pay anything unless it's out of warranty. My job isn't profit focused.
English

@meteotek @enderesanbiri @_Hazardous_Wolf There's nothing wrong with being selfish when your life is on the line. Again, why should I play Russian roulette when I don't have to?
English

@Avantle @enderesanbiri @_Hazardous_Wolf There's no downside to saving everyone, even the dumb people who press blue.
Choosing red is acting selfishly.
English

@DoNutWhole2025 My main suspicion as to why they won't get a new contract is simple: Pay
They don't want to pay us the salary that should come with servicing Apple and Dell computers.
English

@DoNutWhole2025 I wish I knew, all I know is we had the wrong contract. But we've had that for several years before I joined up.
Apple had worked out a new one for us and planned to have it implimented when the old one expired, but we never accepted the new one.
English

@univalvefoil1 @enderesanbiri @_Hazardous_Wolf Still waiting for an actual argument for pressing blue, so far I haven't seen it.
Why should you get patted on the back for playing Russian roulette? Everyone else is watching you after pressing red gamble for your life.
English

@enderesanbiri @Avantle @_Hazardous_Wolf The reason why red pressers get so mad about this is that blue always wins. and when blue wins it makes red pressers look bad for pressing red.
So red pressers complain and say blues are suicidal and not using logic and such, even though everyone survived.
English

@PerkyWhale @TheRealVerai @MrBeast In actuality, red pressers are confused why blue pressers are wilingly signing up for Russian roulette for no real reason.
The only argument blue has is some weak attempt at guilt tripping everyone into gambling too.
English

@DoNutWhole2025 @_Hazardous_Wolf Exactly. I can understand why some would see this as a moral dilimea, but they're wrong because red pushers are not responsible for the deaths of blue.
No one forced their hand in pressing the button, they were told the results of both buttons. It's not my fault they're suicidal
English

That was my exact argument when I read the original thought experiment.
Without a consequence of pressing red or a reward to pressing blue, no sane/stable person would press blue.
The ONLY reason, at that point, to press blue is because a person either wants to die or wants others to suffer/die with them.
It was a test to see who is suicidal.
English

@DoNutWhole2025 @enderesanbiri @_Hazardous_Wolf That fact alone compounds why red is the only logical choice, especially considering you gain nothing by hitting blue. It's not like blue promises eternal youth or money.
It's just a gamble.
English

@Avantle @enderesanbiri @_Hazardous_Wolf That's why, in the original thought experiment, the results were unknown until the test was finished.
English

@DoNutWhole2025 @_Hazardous_Wolf Red = You live
Blue = You only live if 50% also press, gaining nothing more.
You'd be a fool to not press red. There is no gain with the blue button. Only the suicidal would press blue.
I will not be guilted into gambling my life.
English

@Avantle @_Hazardous_Wolf Yup. No sane, stable person would press blue.
English

@enderesanbiri @_Hazardous_Wolf And the answer is no, I would have no obligation to toss my life into the gamble too if red is a guaranteed victory.
The ONLY argument for blue is a weak attempt at guilt tripping because others are too wiling to gamble their lives away.
English

@Avantle @_Hazardous_Wolf it becomes a moral dillema when lots of people push the blue button. question boils down to should we risk ourselves to save dumb people.

@Id10tzQuery @MentisWave I've yet to hear an actual argument in favor of pressing blue that isn't just a weak attempt at guilt tripping.
The only people shifting the blame are blue pressers upset that less than 50% want to gamble for no real gain.
English

@Avantle @MentisWave I love the blame shift and lack of accountability on choosing to make deaths occur.
You know the only way any death happens is if red reaches over 50%...which means pushing red literally is cause of death.
Not to mention, blue is the objective logical answer.
Red "logic" is cope.
