Raptors: The home team does it again, neither one of these teams won a game on the road! I guess there really is an advantage to having home court advantage. 04/30 NBA Playoffs Recap: 3. Knicks vs 6. Hawks: WOW! The Knicks came out of the locker steaming hot and had a 25 point lead at the end of the first quarter! The Hawks could never catch any traction, and they would go on to lose the game by 51 points. The Knicks advance! 2. Celtics vs 7. Sixers: Both teams came out with a defensive mindset but Tyrese Maxey and Paul George would not be denied leading the 76ers to a huge game six victory. We will have our first game seven of the playoffs, will Boston fend off Philly or can Philly prevail one more time? Series 3-3 headed to Boston. 3. Nuggets vs 6. Timberwolves: Arguably the best series of the playoffs and this one did not disappoint. Jaden McDaniels stood on business leading this very injured team to a huge game six victory! Shout out to Terrence Shannon Jr. in his first playoff start, he had 24 points sending the Nuggets home. Yes, it is true. Back in 2023, the 76ers waived Julian Champagnie specifically to sign Mac McClung to a two-way contract so McClung could officially represent the Sixers in the NBA Slam Dunk Contest. Champagnie was claimed off waivers by the Spurs two days later (February 16, 2023). The Sixers essentially traded a young wing who has become a solid NBA rotation player for a one-weekend dunk contest appearance.

04/29 NBA Playoffs Recap: 1. Pistons vs 8. Magic: The Pistons extend the series to a game six, lead by Cade Cunningham who had a whopping 45 points. Banchero also had 45 points but it wouldn’t be enough, can the Magic get Franz Wagner back for game six to help slow down Cunningham? Series 3-2 Magic. 4. Cavs vs 5. Raptors: With the Raptors winning the last two games they had extreme confidence coming into Cleveland but it wouldn’t be enough to overcome the Cavs. Cleveland was lead by Mobley and Harden who had 23 points apiece. Brandon Ingram would leave early in this game, can he come back and make an impact in a win or go home game? Series 3-2 Cavs. 4. Lakers vs 5. Rockets: A game the Rockets would control for most of the game, however the Lakers would make a late fourth quarter surge lead by LeBron James. But it would not be enough to overcome Alperen Sengun and others. Can Austin Reaves catch a rhythm after playing in this game? Series 3-2 Lakers.
