@royvanrijn Old technology (Oracle Forms in one case Eclipse RCP in the other). In both cases the users need access to the software from the browser. But the software was not unmaintainable!

We are all building software; are you replacing an existing system? If so; why does it need replacement? Why did it die/become obsolete/unmaintainable?

@ErichPSteiger @vlad_mihalcea True that. But the track records of SQL, C, and some others will be hard to beat. P.S. Oracle Forms had been released with the database's release 2 back in 1979 and it is still alive today. :)

Is anyone using Oracle Forms? Have you managed to get a CSV file generated to open correctly in Excel? There is no way to get Windows to recognize it without adding the extension: DESFORMAT=DELIMITEDDATA&DESTYPE=CACHE&MIMETYPE=application/vnd.ms-excel Thanks.
