@HoustonChron @BigHec01 My company switched to BCBS last year and it’s been a pain in the a$$. Had Aetna for 16 years & was generally smooth. Many things are difficult with BCBS. Going through a knee replacement now w/ Memorial Hermann & impressed with how they handle business but the bills are high.

Not singling this girl out. It’s an epidemic with young golfers. This is not a video loop. This is one shot! But 1 minutes 15 seconds to pull the trigger shouldn’t be allowed. This doesn’t include the time for setup and planning. At the youth level maybe we actually need a strict shot clock. Have to start early. Once a player is used to this, it’s crazy pressure to change it.

@Top100Rick This is exactly the comparison I was coming to make. The rooms at Pebble are very expensive vs MGM which are available at regular hotel rates. It’s public, but pricey.

Pebble Beach is $650 but requires a 2 night stay for advance tee times, so it’s actually more expensive. (Can walk up with 24 hour notice without lodging and get a tee time if available .)

Should Shadow Creek still be ranked as a public course? Shadow Creek is always one of the highest ranked “public” courses in the USA. LPGA plays there this week. $1250 green fee. 2 night stay at a MGM premium hotel required. Should there be any ceiling to what a course can charge and still be “public”? What if it was $5,000? Technically it would still be public access, but it seems like at some point that it defeats the purpose. My take: Yeah it’s public. Expensive but still doable for a bucket list visit for most. (If it’s cheaper than a Taylor Swift ticket, it’s public.)

Our people depend on opportunity — not having their achievements dismissed as “DEI.” This same man has: •Tried to erase Black history •Limited what our children can learn •Praised and pardoned officers involved in killing unarmed Black men So don’t act like this is just politics. This is personal. Nick, you were right about one thing — yes, a Republican president signed the law freeing enslaved Africans. That’s history. But you left out everything that happened AFTER that. You left out where today’s MAGA movement stands. You left out who has consistently fought for civil rights, voting rights, and opportunity. If it was left up to them right now, they’d take us backwards — not forward. And let’s be real… If they truly cared about Black people — about Foundational Black Americans, descendants of slaves — we wouldn’t even be having this conversation. We’d be talking about reparations. So I’m not coming at y’all with hate… I’m coming at you with responsibility. Because influence comes with accountability.
