The US Navy launched approx 14,750 torpedoes during WWII. Estimates are 50-65% of those were duds until they corrected the problem in early 1944. The US lost 52 submarines and a third of that number were accidents or torpedo return in blue on blue sub seppuku. The submariners had a fatality rate of approx 22% and the submarine force comprised 1.6% of total USN strength sinking 55% of all enemy shipping targeted by the USN. A society’s drug of choice speaks volumes about the nature and vitality of that society. The abandonment of alcohol and nicotine for marijuana and its derivatives is as strong an index of decline as any I can think of.

I got in a bar fight years ago. It wasn't really my fight but my friend was on the ground so I jumped in.
Ended up losing part of a tooth. Which was repaired, but one of my dogs nailed me in the face with his thick Pyrenees skull and it broke off again.
Such is life.

@IovannaSteven It's a mystery how it all got there. Could be natural from water moving through, or someone 500 years ago placed it there, but could also be a more recent collection.
That mastadon tooths though, that's a good find.

Went for a drive today. Top down to get my first of the season damn near heat stroke over with. 100 deg today . 4 hrs of beating down. Found an interesting twig in the road. Help my dehydration along stop at the Havasu Beach. Boys and girls frolicking. All's good in arizona.

@Jeffrey03391618 @durandcompton We're trying to keep our goat population under control. Sold three bucklings in the past four weeks. But now there's three more kids that will probably stick around.
The milk sells pretty good out here.

@BitcoinNoder @durandcompton Example. Years back moved to a place that has 8 goats. Started multiplying. Hit a big pickup. Beimg dumb at that time I moved them to safety. We'll if I would of wethered the storm, my herd would be over 500 today. I only spent 500 bucks on the 8. I screwed up. Imagine....

Ag laws are designed by detractors, in the interest of protecting their food monopoly.
Certified Organic is fake. It's a system designed to protect big growers. Who still spray chemicals on adjacent crops.

@beadlizard7 @100AcresRanch I'm feeding my pigs about 20% oats, soaked in water for 24 hours. So I bought oat seeds to grow this year.
The sorghum can be toxic as forage if it freezes, so i'll grow it in a garden area and chop it down to feed to the birds and pigs.

@100AcresRanch @BitcoinNoder Millet is awesome. I used to grow a patch of oats in a shady but well-drained area. It grew really tall and thick. I'd chop the tops off and feed the milk oats and those top leaves to the hens, and let the straw dry in the field, then cut it and use it for bedding.

@100AcresRanch These are dual purpose eggs, mostly Rhode Island Reds, but I'll put them in a tractor style coop and move it daily. So they'll get some feed.
I'm trying to grow feed this summer, got sorgum and sunflower but might try kale. The pellet machine is expensive but a good tool

@BitcoinNoder You need to get the pellet maker. I free range mine but I don’t see any other solution even with that. Meat birds eat n don’t forage worth af.
