@SamHain31st I love BiS but idk if I'd use it as an example of narrative substance... like beyond the (still genuinely very cool) novelty of working along side Bowser against a greater evil, what does the game have to say about anything?

"Mario Stories are simple, why would the movies need substance!?" Because the series has already proven that multiple times!! I'm not asking for something avant garde or changes the fabric of filmmaking itself. But I know the movies can do better than this!

@AlexisuwuAlexis I have no context for what this movie is even about so I was just watching a lady shoot at a guy while it kept cutting to him getting a really bright light shone in his face thinking "damn, this is what scared you that bad...?" then I saw it.

i can't really mock tadc fans for finding "scary face" disturbing when this scene from Inland Empire is the most scary fucking thing i've seen in my life tbf
