The victim of Monday's shark attack in Manly was initially assessed as having a 5% chance. A clinical professor of emergency medicine specialising in pre-hospital critical care of severe injuries, traumatic cardiac arrest, and aeromedical retrieval was nearby and rushed to help. That aid, along with the rescue helicopter crew's proactive decision to bring additional blood and fluids, helped stabilise the man. He is now in hospital in critical but stable condition.

Also, it would be libel, not slander, and defamation cases are mostly civil, not criminal, so unlikely to be ‘tried’. Your comparison is irrelevant.

Qesser Zuhrah’s family last heard that she’d been left over 10 hours in her cell without medical attention. She has begged to be taken to a hospital. The prison still refuses to inform her next of kin about her condition or whether she’s been moved. I contacted HMP Bronzefield this morning to demand immediate hospital treatment, given Qesser's life-threatening symptoms.
