It's no coincidence that Hugo's article focuses on Kensington, where Labour won a shock victory in 2017 in a formerly safe Tory seat, and regained it in 2024 after a narrow loss in 2019. The votes of people living in social housing were critical to those wins, and he knows that.

@Cory_Bants Any extended war of conquest requires the same thing it has required for thousands of years: the supply line. That's why Caesar, Napoleon and Hitler all secured France and the surrounding areas BEFORE launching an invasion of Britain. And even still, NONE of them succeeded!

@Cory_Bants There is simply no practical way for any nation to launch a ground invasion of Britain. Geography and physics make it a complete non-starter. Both Hitler and Napoleon conquered the whole of Western Europe and **still** could not break the British defense even slightly.

@tombruhcks @LeftieStats She predicted a Corbyn defeat incorrectly and that caused campaigners to rush to Islington North where it wasn’t particularly close as opposed to say, pushing Leanne Mohamad’s campaign. The results were whack because a lot of people didn’t realise Corbyn wasn’t the Lab candidate
