@tom_peters Hugely entertaining movie. Great performances, good dialogue, music and camera work was amazing. Pace was terrific and maintained from start to finish. Lots of action scenes very well done but practically no beating the shit out of each other!!

I just watched One Battle After Another. I’ve probably been going to movies for 75 years, and it was clearly the worst movie I have ever seen. I cannot find any saving grace whatsoever. (A better title “a bunch of people mindlessly being the shit out of each other over and over.”)

Still incredibly heartbroken that The Acolyte was canceled before it even had a chance to expand upon the concepts and ideas it presented in its first season.
Genuinely one of the most unique Star Wars projects ever. Really hoping that we see these characters and/or this story continue in one way or another.

@CrystalQuin The tone of the movie threw me off a bit, more bromantic comedy, I felt it a little unserious for a science/apocalypse story, perfect example was the goofy ships chasing each other, too many gags that were unscientific. Also how was he understanding Rocky without the laptop.

I did read the book and it’s one of my favorites. I’m curious of how people who read it felt about the changes. Some didn’t mind (like me) but some hated it.

Project Hail Mary was AMAZING
Might just be my new favorite movie ever. It was simply perfect.
I don’t understand the critiques, frankly. Yes, it could have stayed more in line with the source material BUT the core of the book AND film is not the science! It’s the friendship!!
And the film simply nailed this. The unlikeliest, but most beautiful, of friendships is the centerpiece of the book and the film executes this flawlessly. It had me smiling ear to ear throughout.
10/10, what a great movie. Bravo.
