She started LGB Alliance in a way. It was the reaction of Ruth Hunt to Jenni Murray's comments that a man cannot become a woman that was the last straw .
From that moment on something changed and @stonewalluk continued its dive into irrelevance while sentient homosexual adults set up our own organization. Thank you Jenni Murray for your courage in the midst of a swamp of cowards at @BBCNews @BBCWomansHour. The current @BBCWomansHour should all hang their heads in shame. What a disgrace you are to her memory

Terrible, tragic news. She was the best. Treated really badly by the BBC after she dared to speak out about you know what. She was absolutely disgusted with the powers that be. Maybe it will all come out now. Jenni was a true journalist, no one quite like her.

This thread is quite something. NHS England climbing down in real time. Their defence is essentially: "we didn't know we weren't doing it properly - everyone else was doing it wrong too". Not the strongest hand to take to a tribunal. These people are supposed to have brains.

Could this get any worse on a daily basis. The police tries to stop local journalists from reporting on the Nottingham murders. They are the only people even attempting to seek justice and protect the public. They should be praised not threatened.

Nottinghamshire Police tried to stop us reporting matters of public interest and when it didn't go the way they wanted it to, they reported us to our regulator.
Thankfully, IPSO saw sense and threw their complaint out. For the Chief Constable to say now that this was a mistake is quite frankly pathetic.
Instead of trying to protect their reputation, the force and Chief Constable should have been communicating properly with the people who really matter here - the families of the victims and the survivors of those horrific attacks.

Now that we know it's not lawful to have *any* men in services or spaces that are for women – thank you @ForWomenScot! – some people would rather women have nothing than follow the law. That is why the course was cancelled.

I'm disappointed that the CEO of @TravelodgeUK did not turn up to yesterday's meeting to listen to MPs concerned about women’s safety in their hotels.
I hope there will be opportunities in the future to understand the steps the hotel industry are taking to address VAWG.
