March: Realised -8% Unrealised -16% YTD: Realised -18% Unrealised -5% Have definitely overtraded this year and that continues to be my biggest weakness that I need to improve on. I’m pretty good and catching strong stocks as they are coming out and have gotten much better at riding them for longer over the last year or so. What I’m not great at is slowly down once market conditions start to turn. I need to be better at recognising and slowing down after the market/stocks have advanced for an extended period and be better at sitting out of the early stages of a correction. I have done well at sitting with my current positions and giving them chance if they aren’t doing anything wrong which is why my YTD unrealised gains aren’t down much. I will have bigger realised drawdowns than most as I don’t typically sell in to strength much and I’m not too fussed about having a pretty equity curve. That said, still need to be better at managing drawdowns overall. I’ve got some decent unrealised gains in what seem to be some strong stocks at the moment. See if they can continue to act well and push to new highs if the market can find a floor. Take each day as it comes and treating them on their own merit. See what April brings and if we can finally get out of this market chop!!
