My interview with Richard Moglen and TraderLion! I rambled quite a bit but hope you get something out of it! Now open to watch for everyone. youtu.be/Lot25-2fb-4?si…

@Cacatfishman That would be great. I think its extremely unlikely we don't get an undercut of the Nov low at some point.

@CFlanders7 I sure can't tell what the heck is going to happen. But...if we are making a wish list: I would like to see a solid undercut of the 11/21 low, NAAIM below 50 and all sentiment metrics washed out. Then a nice base starting to form with higher lows and clear leadership. 🙂

Looks like all the distribution from the last two months has finally overwhelmed buyers. Sentiment has started to turn negative. How low will we go?

Want to see NAAIM come down to below 40 or more. Active managers have to capitulate to some extent and the negative sentiment has to pick up even more. AAII today’s number and yesterday’s Equity P/C of 0.9 reflect some of those sentiment. But, may be that’s not a contrarian this time, and we have more to go 🤷‍♂️

@CFlanders7 @CFlanders7 do you also analyze the general market using the COT report. Like NQ is getting crowded by retailers on the short side and could mean a reversal might be near.

@CFlanders7 Agreed, definitely open to the idea that Memory names are working on blow-off tops. Leaders can only move without the market for so long

Last two days volume was very low on QQQ. Which way do we break now.

@ctate480 Going to be nigh impossible to have a sustained trend up if the market is heavy.

@CFlanders7 @SUPERNAKED1 What was the breakthrough that clicked things for you at year 7 if you can sum it up …

My wife asked me the other night if I wish my trading journey could have been easier. Do I wish I didn't have the large, extended drawdowns over years. I said while extremely painful and difficult at the time, I wouldn't have it any other way. Once you have been through the gauntlet like that, the self-confidence and self-belief you gain is invaluable. Most importantly, you know exactly what you did to have that drawdown and know exactly what NOT to do going forward.

I’m not the sharpest tool in the shed, but not the dullest either. Worked my ass off waiting tables at a 5star restaurant while going to college and got my bachelors and my masters, in addition to my captains license. I sincerely thought I could just read the books by the best traders and succeed. I had to get my ass handed to me by the market to learn. I’m 4 years in, and now believe I’m at the beginning stages of profitability…maybe

@CFlanders7 I would have preferred for it to be easier. All of that stress did some damage. I ruined countless vacations, holidays, relationships. Constantly depressed. It was a dark cloud over my entire life. Could have just invested in index funds and easily retired in my 40s.

When someone says YOU can’t do something, they mean that THEY can’t do it. When I told my now-former colleagues that I’d resigned and was going to work for myself, I got reactions along the lines of: “Freelance is really hard, you know!” Some had already tried and failed. I pointed out I had a newsletter with 5k subs (now 9k), which got a cheerful response: “You’ll be fine then!” I worked with many great people. Most wanted me to succeed. And most were trying to be kind with their warning rather than trying to bring me down. You aren’t always discouraged by sinister motives. Those who care about you just want to protect you. But that doesn’t automatically make them right.

There's no progress without experiencing discomfort and occasional pain. Avoiding all of that just means you stagnate, ultimately leading to far worse outcomes While it's never comfortable, once you get it, you'll never have it any other way. The capacity for growth seems limitless
