I Built a business. Lost it. Went into debt trying to save it. Spent years at a bank helping families untangle their finances. Then COVID hit and I got laid off. Now I’m building a Catholic approach to financial freedom I wish I had years ago. Free guide in bio.

@AltGemCap @ducksays Before I worked in finance I tried several business ventures that went bad. I learned many lessons from experience and working in the banking industry and was able to come back from near bankruptcy. Part of the reason why I want to help people with their finances !

most of my friends have basically $0 savings + debt. this app has you believing half a million by 30 is "normal" and anything less means you suck. the median net worth for folks under 35 is 39k.

@ChrisJSaud @oliverburdick No. Swing and a miss. I know too much doctrine to accept your statements. Paul did not urge people to pray to dead saints. And there is no verse that says Mary intercedes for anyone, let alone doing it perfectly.

Peter is not the Rock, Jesus is. Mary is not the mediator, Jesus is. The Pope is not the head of the church, Jesus is. The Catholic Church is not the way to heaven, Jesus is.

Fair point on the dictionary. The theological distinction matters more though. 1 Timothy 2:5 — one mediator. Catholics agree completely. But read two verses earlier: Paul urges that prayers and intercessions be made for all people. He’s talking to the whole church. We all intercede for each other. That doesn’t make us co-mediators with Christ; it makes us members of His body, participating in His one mediation. Mary does what every Christian does. She just does it perfectly, from glory.

@ChrisJSaud @oliverburdick No, CJ. We do not agree, because Scripture does not agree. Neither does a dictionary: “intercessor” noun One who goes between, or intercedes; a mediator. Similar: mediator One who interposes between parties at variance, with a view to reconcile them.

@ChrisJSaud @oliverburdick Let's simplify. Mary can't hear your prayers. She's not omnipotent. And when did Jesus tell us we were to pray to Mary?? He did not.

@ChrisJSaud That’s powerful 💯 One builds the account, the other builds the man. Profit means nothing if you lose your foundation. The Word keeps everything aligned.

Two things I love seeing on my Home Screen: My stocks and my Bible widget. One builds wealth. One reminds you why it matters.
