If your coach is being tough and demanding of you, consider it a gift. They probably see some things in you that you don't see in yourself.

Players: Playing time isn’t your decision. It’s out of your control. You can control doing what it takes to become a better player. If you want to play more, then do more. Attack threats. Practice more. Perfect your role. You’re the only person responsible for what you control.

PARENTAL ATHLETIC HINDRANCE: Giving your kid a “plan B” will only serve to weaken his/her resolve. Why fight thru adversity when mom/dad already has plans to put me in another place that has promised I’ll play the position I want and bat 3rd?

It’s better to be prepared for an opportunity and not have one, then to have an opportunity and not be prepared!

Year 3 in this high school gig. It amazes me that some coaches when you reach out to schedule games they don’t respond at all. Good programs too. Just don’t respond. Anything would be good. We are full. I don’t want to play you. Really anything would be good

If you don’t like your situation & you automatically point to the coach or others as being the reason why your there that will be your biggest obstacle to overcome. Go to the mirror & take a long look in it. Start there. Then you have a shot to correct it.

@lokationnation Completely agree with this statement although it is very hard to “retrain” muscle memory the older the body gets. It’s always going to be a tough area to navigate when all the kids see is velo, velo, velo. Command is important, media just doesn’t push it anymore.

Does anyone think their best opportunity to LEARN how to ski would be going down a triple black diamond?... you’d never get off your ass. Pitchers what makes you think you can LEARN consistent command at max effort / max intensity?
