I'm going to keep posting this Alstair Begg clip "The Man on the Middle Cross" (less than four minutes in length) every Holy Week, because its message is true in 2026, it will be true in 2036 and it will be true in 3036. "If i take my eyes off the cross, I can then give only lip service to its efficacy while at the same time living as if my salvation depends upon me. And as soon as you go there it will lead you either to abject despair or a horrible kind of arrogance. And it is only the cross of Christ that deals both with the dreadful depths of despair and the pretentious arrogance of the pride of man that says you know, I can figure this out."

“Y’all think I’m losing my mind… I have peace. I have joy. I have the fruits of The Spirit. I don’t have to search for those things no more. Jesus Christ saved me & He can do the same for those that repent & believe The Gospel” - Jaden Ivey on IG this morning Well said & a direct shot at liberal, godless sports media

You can’t make it up. NBA player Jaden Ivey went on instagram and basically called the LGBT community sinful and was released. Miles Bridges beat his wife in front of his kids, and Josh Giddey had sex with a minor, and they are still starting on NBA teams. Explain this to me.

🚨 BREAKING: Chicago Bulls waive young guard Jaden Ivey after he preached Jesus Christ and called out the NBA’s celebration of Pride Month. Head Coach Billy Donovan said Ivey didn’t “live up to certain organizational standards.” The team’s official statement claimed his “conduct was detrimental to the team.” Translation from the Chicago Bulls: Preaching the Gospel and saying sin is sin makes you a problem. Jaden Ivey — a vocal Christian who was recently baptized and has boldly shared his faith in Jesus — went on Instagram Live speaking truth about Scripture, unrighteousness, and the NBA pushing LGBTQ ideology during Pride Month. His message? The world (and the league) celebrates what the Bible calls sin. He’s preaching repentance and Christ. For that, they cut him after just a handful of games. The Chicago Bulls have made it crystal clear: They do not support Christians who actually live and speak their faith when it conflicts with the rainbow agenda. You can bow to BLM, promote Pride, stay silent on sin — that’s fine. But open your mouth about Jesus and biblical truth? “Detrimental.” This is the new standard in the NBA: Christian athletes are welcome… as long as they keep quiet about the parts of Scripture the league dislikes. Ivey’s response: “All I’m preaching about is Jesus Christ and they waived me.” The message to every believing player is loud and clear — conform or be gone. Stand with Jaden Ivey for having the courage to speak truth in a league that demands silence. Share if you believe faith in Christ shouldn’t get you fired. #JusticeForIvey #BullsExposed #ChristianAthletes #PreachJesus

Last Sunday afternoon I was sitting in the Old Absinthe House (NOLA) having a drink with about 12-15 strangers. "American Pie" by Don McLean came on. Pretty soon 8-10 of us were standing and singing our hearts out to that song!! I almost got my camera out to record it, cause it so random, and cool. But I didn't. I just relished the moment. I'm glad I didn't record it. But also, I wish I would have that memory in another format than "just" my memory. It was a beautiful thing. A 70 year old man said "I just shed a tear!" That's how cool it was. A 45 or so year old walked around the room introducing himself to everyone. Music. I love it.

We see you, NCAA.

I fumbled the ball, badly. 🥹 Three JW's came to my door and I invited them in to talk. I've never done that before, but last night I prayed to God to send Jehova's witnesses to my door so I could share the gospel, so I knew I needed to talk to them when they arrived. I asked them if they believe that Jesus is God in flesh, that he was with God the Father and the Holy Spirit through eternity past, that he came and lived a sinless life and died for our sins, so that we could live ... And they started cherry picking, saying all of our translations are wrong-- that if I knew Greek, I would realize that He is only ONE son of God and is a god among many. I quoted 'in the beginning was the Word and the word was God' and 'and the Word became flesh' ... And they started up with Greek again. First, my ESV was wrong. When I pulled a KJV off the shelf, that was also 'mistranslated'. What they were saying felt heretical to me and I lovingly asked them to leave, rather than keep trying. What a huge opportunity; what a massive failure on my part. What are we to do? I feel like I'll never know enough to be able to be able to make a difference with people who follow another gospel.
