The House voted 186-238 against my amendment banning sugary sodas from SNAP. Taxpayers shouldn’t be forced to fund unhealthy, sugary drinks that provide ZERO nutritional value. Assistance programs should prioritize real nutrition, not subsidize unhealthy junk with taxpayer dollars!

@difficultpatty Every so often I'll "lose" this for a few months and then it inevitably rises from the "ashes' (aka underneath the utensil drawer organizer). Its a stalwart along with the PC ground beef mixer tool. I'd actually probably cry if something happened to that mixer.

This little piece of Pampered Chef plastic is older than my adult children. And still working.

Being an adult is basically figuring out what to cook with ground beef and chicken for the rest of your life.

@DC_DeWitt It’s already 4.29 here in SW Ohio. I filled up this morning. Thankful for Kroger fuel points to help a little. But 3.29 is still too much.

Ohio gas prices might jump to $4.59 per gallon in the next couple of days.

Donald Trump does not just excuse political violence. He celebrates it when it serves him. When Robert Mueller died, Trump posted: “Good, I’m glad he’s dead.” When Rob Reiner was brutally murdered, Trump said: “I bet he died because he had Trump derangement syndrome.” After Paul Pelosi was hit in the head with a hammer, Trump mocked the attack: “The wall around their house didn’t work so well, did it?” In 2023, he suggested General Mark Milley’s actions were so treasonous they should be punishable by death. He posted an image of himself holding a baseball bat, ready to bludgeon NYC DA Alvin Bragg. He has branded Democrats and former allies as guilty of “treason” and suggested they “could be put to death.” And on January 6, while police were being beaten and his mob chanted “hang Mike Pence,” Trump watched for 187 minutes. This is not politics as usual. This is a monster.

Making it illegal to openly criticize the President is why people call this administration fascist.

In case anyone isn’t aware, Trump is demanding Zambia to hand over its mineral rights by end of day tomorrow or the U.S. gov’t will cut off the country’s access to the AIDS medications that are literally keeping its citizens alive. Just thought y’all should know.

Imagine getting in a time machine and going back to 1776 and telling the Founding Fathers that the King would one day be reminding America about the importance of democracy and our checks and balances. That is the timeline we’re living in.
