The CIA-ULFA(I) nexus is exposed now! Timing is everything in the world of intelligence operations.
In the early hours of March 22, 2026, suspected ULFA(I) militants launched a brazen attack on an Assam Police commando camp in Jagun, Tinsukia district, firing multiple rocket-propelled grenades and unleashing a hail of gunfire that left several commandos seriously injured. The 2 AM assault bore all the hallmarks of a well-coordinated, well-equipped operation, sophisticated weaponry, tactical precision, and the kind of firepower that insurgent groups do not acquire on their own.
But here is what the mainstream media will not connect for you.
Just days before this attack, the National Investigation Agency arrested American national Matthew Aaron VanDyke, a Georgetown University educated "security contractor" with a resume that reads like a CIA black-ops recruitment brochure. VanDyke, who founded the mercenary outfit Sons of Liberty International, has spent years running covert operations from Libya to Venezuela to Ukraine. His CV boasts training Iraqi Christians to fight ISIS, six months as Muammar Gaddafi's prisoner, and a self-proclaimed mission to "defend the defenseless," the classic cover of a Western intelligence asset operating in gray zones.
The NIA's case file reveals that VanDyke and his Ukrainian associates were not mere battlefield tourists. They were arrested for illegally entering Myanmar through India's Northeast corridor to train Ethnic Armed Groups, including the Chin National Defence Force, in drone warfare, weapons assembly, and jamming technology, skills being deployed against the Myanmar junta. Court documents explicitly allege these operatives supported "certain proscribed Indian insurgent groups, by supplying weapons, terrorist hardware and training them."
Now connect the dots.
ULFA(I), the banned militant outfit fighting a protracted insurgency in Assam, has long relied on safe havens across the Myanmar border. The Chin National Defence Force, the very group VanDyke was training, operates along the same borderlands where ULFA(I) maintains its jungle camps. The narcotics pipeline running from Chin State straight into Manipur and Assam funds both the Myanmar insurgents and ULFA(I) operatives. These networks are funded, according to NIA sources, through American evangelical church money and Western intelligence channels.
When the Assam Police commando camp was hit with RPGs at 2 AM on Sunday, the attackers were not just ULFA(I) militants, they were the armed wing of a transnational narcotics insurgency complex, resupplied and trained by American mercenaries operating with the blessing of Western intelligence agencies. The same networks that brought European drones into Myanmar for VanDyke's trainees are now arming ULFA(I) with advanced weaponry to strike Indian security forces.
The US Embassy's response to VanDyke's arrest was "aware of the situation, but cannot comment." The Ukrainian government, meanwhile, expressed "serious concern" but notably not denial about the charges.
Russia tipped off India about this network. Let that sink in. Moscow, India's longstanding strategic partner, provided the intelligence that led to VanDyke's arrest. Washington's response was silence.
The ULFA(I) attack on March 22 was not an isolated incident of insurgency. It was a proof of concept, a demonstration that the CIA funded, mercenary trained network operating in India's Northeast is now active, armed, and striking Indian security forces. The direct link between ULFA(I) and this American backed network can no longer be ignored.
The question India must ask itself is simple. How many more American adventurers need to be caught training terrorists on Indian soil before we recognize the game being played!
The NIA has VanDyke in custody until March 27. The clock is ticking. And somewhere in Tinsukia district, ULFA(I) militants armed with American funded weaponry are planning their next move.
