Today, I’m announcing my candidacy for Florida’s 20th congressional district. I’ll continue to use my seniority in Washington to make Broward a safer, less expensive place to live, raise a family, and retire. We cannot let Trump and DeSantis take away Broward County’s power.

Great to join Coral Springs’ Living Word Christian Center to distribute nutritional meals. Food insecurity is a struggle for far too many Florida families. I’m proud to have secured federal investments to help feed Broward, and I’ll always fight for more.

Life is so expensive that Americans are forced into deep debt. We have solutions to lower utility, gas, and housing costs, but Trump and Republican leaders refuse to acknowledge the crisis.

Trump wants to funnel $1.8 billion in taxpayer dollars to political allies, insurrectionists and rioters who beat police storming the Capitol on January 6. This clear theft of our tax dollars insults all Americans who work hard and play by the rules.

On Memorial Day, we reflect on the sacrifices our military heroes made for all of us. My thoughts and heart are with all the loved ones of those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

When I recently joined King’s Point seniors, one man said he may need to return to work, due to sky high costs. Nobody should be forced out of retirement to make ends meet. I’m fighting to bring costs down to help Floridians like him.
