I read today about how the land of Rubio's parents is starving as a result of Cuba's atrocious leadership and exacerbated by a U.S. blockade. Rubio is one of the few people who can change that situation, but he's video'ed DJ'ing. It sends a message he's not serious.

Update: Herbst told me he's stepping away after several months of reassessing how he wants to spend his time and energy. Herbst turned 62 in February. His brother died the month before at 68. He cited his brother's death as what prompted his change of thought.

False equivalence. Racial gerrymandering can dilute voters’ power and violate the Constitution. A president weighing race in a SCOTUS pick doesn’t change anyone’s vote or rights; it’s one factor in selecting a nominee. One governs elections; the other is an appointments choice.

The argument in light of this ruling is pretty simple: if you can’t racially gerrymander political districts to ensure racial representation, how can you legally racially gerrymander the Supreme Court to ensure racial representation?
