Both guys are pretty established in their number. Especially PW. But I’ve always wondered if this switcheroo was ever discussed. #Jaguars

@DanDGriffis Sounds like the defensive backfield needs to step up and give them time

The #Jaguars pass-rush is so interesting. On one hand, they ranked 23rd in Pressure % (32.5%) and 29th in Sack % (4.6%). On the other, when they did pressure the QB, they got there 7th fastest (2.64s) and were the most efficient in the #NFL (1st in EPA/DB).

@JVillainsPod All those TEs will give Trevor more time to make those deep throws. Should help BTJ

@jordandelugo That's wild. There is a vision here that they are following through with. Baalke only cared about size and arm length. And somehow always said the Jags needed to get more physical while never fixing the problem.

With the TE's drafted after Boerkircher at 56, he would've been there at 81. Missed Anthony Hill, Jr. at 56. He's the real deal & I think will be better than Lloyd. Grab the blocking TE at 81. Oh well. Just win. No excuses. LFG Jags!

If rumors are true that Jags looked at giving up '27 1st Rd to get into bottom of 1st this year (Woods or Miller would be my guess), then Pats jump us in 2nd before we can grab Gabe Jacas, maybe Stoner panicked, and then just pivoted to grab our blocking TE target?

absolutely brutal analysis of the Jaguars draft here: "The arrogance that James Gladstone demonstrated in this draft is unprecedented. I have never seen a more pathetic group of players from a team that had four top 100 picks" more: youtube.com/shorts/dm27Vgh…

@ShopTalkingWigg People seem to forget that Strange missed the games against the Seahawks, Rams, Texans, Raiders, and Chargers. Team looked the worse during that stretch without another good option at blocking TE outside of the Chargers game.

Man folks were waiting to crush Gladstone. I'm even more convinced because nobody said anything about those other teams:

Listening to @Jaguars Gladstone and Coen and looking at the players they picked in the draft, it's obvious they weren't nitpicking about inches in height or tenths of a second in speed. They were looking for football players, with what Boselli calls "Duval DNA." Culture building that hasn't happened in the last ten years, probably since Calais Campbell ran the locker room. Myers, Gardeck, Walker, all important guys to keep to make a "team."

@Jagnole17 @samkouvaris @Jaguars We were just given multiple examples of productive players that weren't great their rookie year in Strange' Buster and Antonio Johnson. Maybe give them a whole offseason...or maybe see them play since a good amount were hurt before making that judgment......

Interesting to hear more of the tiered vetting process the Jags went through step by step before selecting players. Their inner "machine" made their selections undeniable. Get mad all you want about names. Now I'll go watch the tape to understand more.

@E_Dilla Wouldn't having two blocking TEs be good for hiding run direction? Tuten definitely seems the biggest beneficiary of yesterday.

Can easily see Pregnon starting week 1. Husky will play a bunch too in the box I reckon. TE gonna play just as much as TE2. Regis maybe not but the other 3 have a good shot
Jason Hamby@Jason_Hamby14

Final thoughts: the #Jaguars got zero immediate impact. that doesn’t mean their draft was bad, just a tough sell. requires patience. Boerkircher will play right away in 12/13 but he’s not a gamechanger. what’s Regis doing game 1? Pregnon ain’t playing. neither is Huskey.
