@nub @SketchesbyBoze A big difference though, when I was growing up and before, children's TV had educational stuff. If you were watching TV, you had to watch the educational stuff, as well as the cartoons. Now, kids have to actively choose educational content. Amongst all the nonsense.

This might surprise younger people but in the ‘90s most of us knew how to read & were culturally literate. You could mention King Arthur or Citizen Kane and everyone knew what you meant. We were capable of writing essays. We had educational TV. We have lost so much, so quickly.

HERE is the spirit of Dubai in one act. My daughter has a severely disabled teacher who gives her extra lessons at weekends. He’s wheelchair bound. Today we expected him to cancel. Yet he’s taking a special vehicle across town to get to her. 😍 That’s how we are. 🇦🇪
