The Unicameral, the Governor, and D.C. have traded truth for political convenience. We expose their lies to arm Nebraskans with the facts. #DemandBetterNebraska

Today, Rep Flood asks for prayers for our farmers and ranchers for the hardships they helped create. They backed tariffs, higher fuel and fertilizer costs, and more expensive health insurance. Farmers need more than prayers. They need leaders who stop making things worse. #NE01

Nebraska ag producers continue to face natural hardships, from persistent drought and devastating wildfires to severe storms and flooding. Through these trials, they are pressing on with the grit that has always defined Nebraska’s farmers and ranchers. Today, I ask all Nebraskans to join me in praying for the resilience, relief, and safety of our farmers, ranchers, and their families.

Today is National Day of Prayer for Agriculture in Nebraska. 2026 has been a challenging year for our farmers and ranchers. Despite hardships, these women and men still show up to feed and fuel our state and world. I join @TeamPillen and Nebraskans in praying for our agriculture communities. God bless our farmers and ranchers.

@DemandBetterNE @interiorpress47 Nah your comments are always Anti Trump- people are sick of it. You comments are exactly what I expect with a TDS'er. You won't say ONE good thing about him. So please stop the virtue signaling.

The advanced nanobubbler technology very effectively killed the algae that has plagued every Lincoln Reflecting Pool reopening—most infamously Obama's reopening—since 1922. The Reflecting Pool water is crystal clear, and our National Park Service team is now vacuuming up the dead algae resting on the bottom of some parts of the Reflecting Pool—just like the destroyed Iranian Navy resting on the bottom of the Persian Gulf.

@Likeshesays @interiorpress47 This isn't about the algae issue, it's the partisan nature of the statement. But that's SOP for this admin and is to be expected when every public statement must make the insecure guy at the top feel good by tearing down his opponents.

@DemandBetterNE @interiorpress47 Identifying the source of the problem is not " rent free" situation. The Obama Admin NPS used the wrong size pipes.

The SAVE America Act would help save America by restoring election security, which has gotten dangerously weak in recent years Those who disagree with my support for the bill or the aggressive strategy I’m proposing for getting it passed are free to do so But I’m not stopping

Ah, meeting with the real winners of the ROAD Act. This legislation deregulates community banks, fast-tracks zoning approvals, and expands modular housing. This will churn more properties onto the market faster. Since the bill completely fails to implement price protections, homes will hit the market at today's artificially inflated rates. The result is maximum commission for the realtor and maximum debt for the buyer.

Great to meet with the Nebraska Realtors Association this week. We discussed efforts to make housing affordable for Nebraskans. This includes the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act, which cuts red tape and regulation to make housing development more affordable. The best way to lower the cost of housing is to build more housing!

It's more help for builders and bankers than relief for first-time homebuyers. Housing bills keep rising today under GOP control, with inflation at 4.2% in May. Looking backward doesn't help families now. The ROAD Act creates broad build-to-rent loopholes for corporate investors, cuts rules for banks without guaranteeing lower prices for buyers, and fails to seriously tackle corporate bidding wars or local zoning scarcity.

Ten years ago, the average first-time homebuyer was 31. Today it's 40. Under President Biden, home prices increased by 28%. Costs climbed so high that even some households earning more than $200,000 now qualify for homebuying assistance. The 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act increases housing supply and reduces federal barriers to development. Lower costs mean more families can afford to build their lives here in Nebraska.

There is a fundamental problem with Nebraska’s leadership culture. They’re happy to spend down a $1.6 billion surplus on tax cuts, subsidies, prisons, and culture wars… and when the bill comes due, families, schools, healthcare, higher ed, etc are expected to absorb the cuts.
Nebraska Public Media News@NebPubMediaNews

Nebraska lawmakers faced a $471 million budget gap this year. But four years ago, the state had a balance of more than $1.6 billion. Here's how shifting policies and new legislation contributed to the state's deficit: nebraskapublicmedia.org/en/news/news-a…

Weird. We were told by our Nebraska House members that they were voting for SNAP cuts in the Republican Tax Law to help protect vulnerable populations - specifically children. Seems like we were lied to - again. #FeedTheKids #NE02 #NE01
Katie Bergh@Katie_Bergh

This is quite a response to data showing that number of children receiving food assistance has plummeted since the deepest SNAP cuts in history were signed into law last summer. propublica.org/article/snap-b…
