In 2022, I watched an "expert" pay $1.3 million for a JPEG of a rock. 4 years later – it's worthless. This happened to tons of smart people in the investing community. It seemed silly at the time, but there were people making great money, and they were adamant it was the future. In the end, my (and many people's) gut was correct. It was nothing but a ridiculous fad. Your gut > "Experts" (for entertainment sake, I'd love if this became popular again)
