🇨🇺 Cuba's Solar Revolution Within a year, Cubas solar power has been rising from under 6 percent to around 20 percent. In February, Havana reported over 900 megawatts of solar power at midday peak for the first time. Trump's oil embargo has made Cuba the country with the fastest-growing solar energy sector worldwide. Fossil fuel dependence is a geopolitical weakness and risk. Solar energy is the answer. Cuba shows how quickly this can happen when the pressure is high enough.

How stupid is it that we’re fighting even more wars over oil when we could have spent the same amount of money and transitioned the entire goddamn planet to renewables?

This American teenager gets it: “We don’t have money for universal healthcare or to make sure kids don’t go hungry in this country, but apparently we have $11.3 billion fucking dollars to burn in 7 days to start a war nobody ask for to bomb innocent school children, twice.”

Thousands forced to evacuate on Oʻahu. Homes, businesses, medical patients needing electricity to stay alive. Hawaii’s Dole Plantation owns a dam that needed to be repaired. $20M to fix it. But Dole said it couldn’t afford repairs, while paying $92.4M in dividends since 2023.

72,000 killed in the genocide in Gaza. 1 million+ displaced in Lebanon. 1,700 settler attacks in the West Bank. And now war in Iran. Sending 20,000+ more bombs to Netanyahu isn’t just immoral—it’s illegal. That’s why I introduced legislation to stop it.

For decades, First Nations people in British Columbia knew their ancestral homes—villages forcibly emptied in the late 1800s—were great places to forage for traditional foods like hazelnuts, crabapples, cranberries, and hawthorn. A 2021 study revealed that isolated patches of fruit trees and berry bushes in the region's hemlock and cedar forests were deliberately planted by Indigenous peoples in and around their settlements more than 150 years ago. It's one of the first times such "forest gardens" have been identified outside the tropics, and it shows that people were capable of changing forests in long-lasting, productive ways. Learn more on #InternationalDayOfForests: scim.ag/4dtVm9Q

When Eisenhower was asked why the United States did not allow the 1956 Vietnamese reunification elections agreed upon at Geneva, he answered with unusual honesty. He said that if elections were held, Hồ Chí Minh would win with approximately 80 percent of the vote. So they cancelled the elections. Think about that every time an American politician talks about "spreading democracy." They cancelled the democratic election because the "wrong" person would win. They then spent the next two decades killing people to prevent the government that would have been democratically elected from taking power. And they called the other side anti-democratic. This is not ancient history. This is the logic that still governs every "democracy promotion" operation today. Democracy is acceptable when it produces the "right" results. When it does not, you cancel the election, back a coup, fund the opposition, impose sanctions, and call the government that the people actually chose a "dictatorship." Vietnam exposed this logic completely. Not with arguments. With history. With the receipts.

She did not. Her proposed policy was a tax credit UP TO $25K for a down-payment. Tax credits don't do any good if you can't afford the down-payment ro brgin with and it's not $25,000 for everyone- up to $25K means a whole bunch of people are going to get less than that and some will get much less. Homelessness spiked higher under Biden-Harris than under any modern president. The 12% increase in homelessness between 2022 and 2023 was a record. The administration did NOTHING. Democrats offer little to nothing in the way of relief for the working class and they are a feckless opposition to the out of control Republicans

These aren’t Navy warships. they’re normal cargo ships carrying oil, food like grain, electronics, stuff the whole world needs. The crews on board are regular people, not soldiers, and they’re running out of drinking water. One ship even radioed the nearest port, begging to dock just to get some fresh water, and they got told no. Other ships are saying the same thing, no docking allowed, no supplies coming, nothing. They’re scared, thirsty and have no way out. If these ships get left behind or hit during the fighting, we could see huge oil spills and chemical messes that wreck the ocean for years. But Trump and Netanyahu? They don’t seem to care. Trump said he’d avoid endless wars and stupid fights but then he approved the attacks that killed Iranian leaders and bombed their stuff, which made Iran close the Strait of Hormuz. Netanyahu pushed hard for more bombing and bragged that Iran was finished. Now the Strait is basically shut down, the U.S. Navy can’t force it open without huge danger, and innocent sailors are the ones suffering. This is the total disaster Trump and Netanyahu caused, and they’re the ones who should be ashamed for every bit of it.

NOBODY KNOWS HOW FUCKED THE SITUATION IN THE PERSIAN GULF ACTUALLY IS. 3,200 ships are TRAPPED in the Persian Gulf right now. Crews are running out of drinking water. One ship called the local port authority and BEGGED for permission to dock — just to get water. They were DENIED. 💀 Let that sink in. These aren't military ships. These are commercial vessels — carrying oil, grain, electronics — with civilian crews who are now stranded with NO supplies and NO way out. – 3,200 ships STUCK ⚠️ – Crews running out of WATER 💀 – Port authorities REFUSING to let them dock ⚠️ – Multiple ships reporting the SAME situation 💀 ⚠️ For context — the Suez Canal crisis in 2021 blocked 400 ships. This is EIGHT TIMES worse. And nobody is talking about it. They're showing you missile interceptions and oil price charts. They're NOT showing you thousands of crew members slowly running out of drinking water in the middle of a war zone. If these ships start getting abandoned, the environmental disaster alone would be catastrophic. Thousands of tons of fuel, cargo, chemicals — just sitting there. This is not a shipping disruption. This is a HUMANITARIAN CRISIS unfolding in real time. Prepare accordingly. 🚨🚨🚨 X is hiding this. Follow + RT before it disappears. 🔥
