🚨🚨BREAKING: A U.S. F-35 made an emergency landing at a U.S. air base in the Middle East after being struck by what’s believed to be Iranian fire, CNN reports.
Capt. Tim Hawkins, a CENTCOM spokesperson, said the jet was “flying a combat mission over Iran” when it was forced to land. The aircraft landed safely and the incident is under investigation.
This would mark the first time Iran has hit a U.S. aircraft in the war.
