@Krefelder78 Orales B12 tut da nichts. Braucht Injektionen.

Huge congratulations to Wieczorek Lab PhD student Bin Cai and now-PI Jingwei Xu @xujw_thu on figuring out the surprisingly complex structure of the A-C linker crosslinking microtubule triplets in Tetrahymena basal body centrioles! science.org/doi/10.1126/sc…

@AdrianoAguzzi Absolut!

@AdrianoAguzzi 100% agree — boys should get it too. HPV can cause deadly throat cancers (base of tongue, tonsils) as well as cervical cancer. This is cancer prevention, not a question of ideology.

We are currently witnessing the complete succumbing to blackmail of the so-called civilized world. The speed of general moral and ethical decline in the name of economic constraints and reasoning is shocking. We must be aware that scientific integrity will not escape untouched.

Check out our latest preprint with Qi lab on the structure and disease physiology of the human ERAD complex. Outstanding work by Leo, a cell physiologist whom we successfully tempted into structural biology! Preprint: biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

An oral tablet vaccine for norovirus based on an adenoviral-vectored vaccine that delivers VP1 is safe in older adults and produces a notable antibody response in the mucosa that persists for 210 days, according to results from a phase 1 trial. Learn more in @ScienceTM: scim.ag/4hcjk7L

Cells are filled with toxic stuff that damages healthy proteins. Is that garbage just left to rot on the curb? No way! Ubiquitin ligases have evolved to recognize chemical damage and clean it up! nature.com/articles/s4158…

Had a wonderful time with my group and Rudi’s team from ⁦@Glockshuber_lab⁩ at our Christmas outing! 🎄 We enjoyed “Kerzenziehen,” a wonderful Swiss tradition, and had dinner afterwards. Great company and a festive way to celebrate!
